Clava collects personal information about you and others so that we can provide you with the service, and any related services you may request. In doing so, Clava may use the personal information we have collected from you for purposes related to the services including to:

  • Assist with the resolution of technical support issues or other issues relating to the service,

Our use of non-personal information

Clava may access and aggregate non-personally identifiable data that has been collected from you. This data in no way identifies you or any other individual.

Clava may use this aggregated non-personally identifiable data to:

  • Assist us in better understanding how our customers are using the service,
  • Provide our customers with further information regarding the uses and benefits of the service,
  • Enhance small business productivity, including creating useful insights benchmarking your business’ performance against the aggregated data, and
  • Otherwise to improve the Service.

Where does Clava hold your data?

All data, including personal and non-personal information, that is entered into the Clava service by you is transferred to Clava’s servers as a function of transmission across the Internet. By using the service, you consent to your personal information being transferred to our servers.

Our primary servers are located in the EU with hosting partner Amazon Web Services, and your personal information will be routed through, and stored on, these servers as part of the service. If the location of our servers changes in the future, we will update this statement. Therefore you should review this statement regularly to keep informed of any updates.

If you do not want your personal information to be transferred to a server located in the EU, you should not provide Clava with your personal information or use the service.

Is my information transferred anywhere else?

In order to provide the service, Clava uses a number of service provides that may store your information. These are detailed below:

Intercom

Clava uses Intercom to facilitate chat based support on the Clava website and within the service. It is also used to provide user tutorials, guides, and send emails or in-app messages about system changes or improvements. Your email address and name will be transferred to Intercom upon signup to the service where they will be stored on servers located in the USA. The transfer is certified under the EU-U.S. and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework.

Stripe

Clava uses Stripe to process payments. These include payments you make as a subscriber to access the service, and payments made by clients using Clava Payments. Your name, email address and payment card details will be transferred to Stripe upon subscribing to a Clava paid plan, purchasing SMS credits, or paying a Clava professional via the service. These details will then be transferred to servers located in the USA. The transfer is certified under the EU-U.S. and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework.

Payment card details

Should you choose to pay for our service by credit or debit card, your card details are are stored within the service and can only be accessed by Clava staff to make payments for goods or services on your behalf with the Clava platform. Your payment card details are encrypted and securely stored by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. to enable the service to automatically bill your payment card on a recurring basis. You should review Stripe’s Privacy Policy to ensure you are happy with it.

Clava reserves the right to change this statement at any time, and any amendment is effective upon posting to this website. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes.

When appropriate, we will make every effort to communicate any significant changes to this statement to you via email or through notification within the service. Your continued use of the service will be deemed acceptance of any amended statement.
